Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store on your device. They let a site remember things between page loads and visits – for example that you are signed in, or which language you selected. Websites can also use similar browser storage technologies such as localStorage, which works the same way from a privacy point of view: data is saved in your browser and stays there until it is deleted. This policy covers both.

2. What This Site Actually Uses

We keep this deliberately minimal. This platform does not load Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising or tracking script. There are no marketing or advertising cookies, and no cross-site tracking.

The only data stored in your browser falls into the strictly necessary / functional category:

  • •Authentication session (Supabase): When you sign in, our authentication provider stores your session token in your browser so you stay logged in between page loads. Deleting it signs you out.
  • •Language preference (rfj_lang): Remembers whether you chose English or Lithuanian.
  • •Course progress (pro-trading-progress): Stores which lessons and quizzes you completed, so your progress survives a refresh. For signed-in users progress is also saved to your account.
  • •Trading plan draft (trading-plan): Saves the answers you type into the capstone Trading Plan worksheet. If you are signed in, it is also stored in your account.
  • •Cookie choice (pr0_cookie_consent): Records the preferences you set in our cookie banner, so we do not ask you again on every visit.

None of these are used for profiling or advertising, and none of them are shared with advertisers.

3. Cookie Categories

  • •Strictly necessary: Authentication/session storage and your cookie-consent choice. These are required for the platform to work and cannot be switched off.
  • •Functional: Language preference, course progress and trading plan draft. These improve your experience and are stored only in your own browser (and your account, if you are signed in).
  • •Analytics: None currently in use. If we ever add analytics, it will only run after you enable it in the cookie banner.
  • •Marketing / advertising: None. We do not run ad or retargeting pixels.

4. Your Consent Choices

On your first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or open Settings and choose per category. Non-essential categories stay off until you explicitly enable them. Because no analytics or marketing scripts are currently loaded, rejecting non-essential cookies changes nothing about how the site works for you. To change your choice later, clear your browser storage for this site (see below) and the banner will appear again.

5. How to Control or Delete Cookies

You can view, block, or delete cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings:

  • •Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Delete browsing data.
  • •Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data.
  • •Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
  • •Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.

Note that deleting this site's storage will sign you out and remove any locally saved course progress or trading plan draft that has not been saved to an account.

6. Changes and Contact

If we add new cookies or tracking technologies, we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first. Questions about this policy can be sent to privacy@realforexjourney.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
