Points of Interest (POI)

The Trinity of Smart Money Zones

What is a Point of Interest?

A Point of Interest (POI) is a specific price zone where we expect a high-probability reaction. It's not a random line on a chart – it's a zone backed by institutional order flow and market mechanics.

The POI Trinity

Our entire strategy revolves around three types of POIs:

1. Supply & Demand Zones (Order Blocks)

  • •The last candle before an impulsive institutional move
  • •These zones hold unfilled orders – price returns to fill them
  • •Think of them as the "footprint" of where banks bought or sold

2. Fair Value Gaps (FVG) – Imbalance

  • •A gap in the price ladder where candle wicks don't overlap
  • •Created when institutions move price too fast for two-way trading
  • •Price is magnetized to return and fill the inefficiency

3. Liquidity Pools (Sweeps)

  • •Clusters of stop losses sitting at obvious levels (PDH/PDL, session extremes, equal highs/lows)
  • •Smart money engineers price into these clusters to fill their own orders
  • •After the sweep, price reverses – the "trap" becomes our entry

Why This Trinity Works

Each POI type represents a different aspect of institutional activity:

  • •S&D = Where they placed orders
  • •FVG = Where they moved too fast (unfinished business)
  • •LQ = Where they hunted retail stops to fill positions

When two or more POI types overlap (confluence), the probability of a reaction increases dramatically.

"Retail draws lines. We identify zones where real money operates. The Trinity is your edge."
